Kilchoman Sauternes Cask Matured 50%

Produced in small batches, the Kilchoman Sauternes Cask Matured 50% is a peated single malt Scotch whisky created using two types of casks, distilled between 2017 and 2018. These include 22% first-fill ex-Sauternes casks and 78% refill casks, also previously holding Sauternes wine. This whisky is bottled at the distillery’s classic strength (50% ABV), non-chill filtered and with its natural colour.

Nose: soft peat, honey, apricot and ripe peach, with notes of citrus, vanilla and a light floral touch.
Palate: rich and creamy, with peat smoke wrapped in honey, yellow fruits, candied citrus and sweet malt, followed by vanilla and delicate spices.
Finish: medium-long, sweet and smoky, with returning notes of ripe fruit, honey, gentle peat and a light saline hint.
